A relocated central media center, an art and technology wing and a grades on separate floors are among the key elements in the design the Westside Board of Education approved Feb. 15 for the renovation and addition at Westside Middle School. BVH Architects and Gould Evans created the design with input from teachers, parents and students. Work will start this summer and is expected to be completed by 2018. Click here to see the design. The Board also OK’d a construction manager at risk (CMR) contract with Lueder Construction for the middle school construction work. Plans call for renovating about 75,00 square feet of existing space and adding 20,000 square feet. Work is scheduled to begin this summer and continue into 2018.
