Yes, Loveland will receive HVAC, building envelope, and security upgrades.
Currently, there isn’t enough space on the property to expand or rebuild an adequately sized school. The Board of Education and District Administration are reviewing this building for future expansion and renovation or for replacement. The District has made a commitment to keep neighborhood elementary schools, including Loveland.
The District will address high priority needs first and will produce significant renovations at those facilities that require it. However, all elementary buildings and Westside Middle School are slated for renovations of some kind during this phase of the Facilities Master Plan.
All the elementary schools and Westside Middle School will receive funding to address physical and functional needs. The bond funds will also be used to replace Oakdale and Swanson Elementary with new facilities at their current sites, to build a new 2-section Sunset Hills adjacent to its current site, and to renovate Prairie Lane and Westside Middle School.
